We discovered last night that the stage at Mars Café can hold considerably more equipment and people than
originally thought.  By the time I showed up, Cleo’s Apartment had already taken over the stage with multiple
keyboards, a couple of drums and brand new turntables; however their “record players” were clearly not as nice
as mine.

After we got everything set up we popped open a few Boddingtons Ale’s and got right into the records that Jeff
brought in, but the whole group listens too(Jeff is the record collector in Cleo’s Apartment).  And once again we
had the pleasure of listening to a bunch of music that you will probably hear nowhere else, let’s just say that Mars
Café had some funky music for the students to study to.

The highlight for really wasn’t one album, but the combination of albums from an era of music that I don’t know
much about, 1970’s funk.  The music selection was similar to the Aeon Grey session, which makes sense, as
Cleo’s Apartment and Aeon Grey can often be found working or performing together.

Here is some of what we played, but not all that they brought in…

War – The World is a Ghetto
Cornershop – Candyman (Rob Swift Remix)
Timer – Reverber I
Rimshot
United States of America
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah!
Panda Bear – Person Pitch
Quincy Jones - $
Marvin Gaye – Trouble Man
Ramsey Lewis – Sun Goddess
