Hollywood
Burnout
This Monday wasn’t Josh and Nick Sinclair’s first trip to Scented Vinyl; in fact they were on last March with their band Little
Mojo.  A year later brings a new name,
Hollywood Burnout, a new member, and a new sound.  One thing that remains
untouched is their great attitude towards their music and the Iowa music community; it’s always a pleasure interviewing
these guys.

Little Mojo has been playing around Iowa for the past 10 years, recording a few albums and opening for the likes of Blind
Melon, The Bodeans, A Fine Frenzy and more.  But after a decade, the brothers were ready for a change; enter Seth
Hoveland their new bass player.  With the new member, they decided to change their name to Hollywood Burnout and
revamp their image and sound.  Check out the interview for more…

The record portion of the show was plagued by technical problems, which is not the first or probably last time.  We still got
to play the Stones album that Josh brought in and a Cindrella 7” from Nick, but the rest of the show was kind of shaky due
to a broken needle.  Here is what we played…

Rolling Stones – Goats Head Soup
Little River Band- Greatest Hits
Radio Moscow – Brain Cycles
Kings of Leon – Aha Shake Heartbreak
William Elliott Whitmore – Animals in the Dark
Cinderella – Nobody’s Fool 7”
Shins – Shoots to Narrow
Broken Social Scene Presents Brenden Canning
Europe – Final Countdown 7”
Envy Corps – Dwell
Cat Stevens – Teaser and the Firecat
Elton John – Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy
