Future guests on Scented Vinyl are going to have to work harder and harder to bring in records to live up to the
standards of some of the albums I’ve had the pleasure of hearing on the show.  Last night’s music was one of
those that is going to be hard to top, brought courtesy of Johnny Reeferseed & The Highrollers.

Although not all the Highrollers were on the show last night, Jamie and Dusty still brought in close to 50 albums,
some of which would be hard to find at a record collector shows; like the one coming up at the Holiday Inn on
the 26th of this month…yes that’s next Sunday, hopefully your reading this in time.

The highlight for me came early in the evening, The Rolling Stones “Their Satanic Majesties Request” from
1967.  This album would be hard to find on CD, yet alone vinyl.  Another high point for me came in discovering
that Dusty and I both share a love for Bonnie “Prince” Billy, so we played “Pushkin” off his Palace Brothers
album “Days in the Wake”.

Here is some of the rest of the playlist…

Bob Dylan – Planet Waves
Beach Boys – Love You
The Faces – First Step (their 1st album)
The Faces – Oh La La (their last album)
Zappa/Beefheart – Bongo Fury
Peter Tosh – Mystic Man
Charlie Mingus – Mingus Dynasty
Arcade Fire – Funeral
The Time – What Time Is It
Bob Dylan – Hard Rain

Johnny Reeferseed and the Highrollers formed just about 2 years ago, and are writing and recording their debut
album right now, in hopes of having it out by the end of the year.  The guys in the band are also involved in a
number of other projects around Iowa, here are just a few of the bands they have been in or worked with…Tyler
Thompson Band, Slopsycle, Salt of Society, Creek Dwellers, Jethro’s Junkyard, and more.
