Radio Moscow
Last nights show with Parker of Radio Moscow was fantastic!  I've been looking forward
to this show since I started Scented Vinyl 6 weeks ago, and Parker was one of the first
to book a session with me.

We had a great turn out at Mars Café, there was a lot of people there getting ready for
finals, and we played some back ground music to study to.  As I expected, Parker
brought in some great records, including some new ones he just picked up on tour and
a lot that I hadn't heard of...including The Yellow Payges, and my favorite of the night
"Truth" by The Jeff Beck Group.

We also played some records by Broken Social Scene, Ed Gray (who is on the show in
a couple weeks, and The Nation of Ulysses, which someone from the crowd brought in.

Then Parker played louder then anyone has in Mars Café in awhile.  He played a new
song off of an upcoming EP.  You can find out more about the song and the recording
process by downloading the interview.  I'm excited for the EP to come out, because it
will have a Muddy Waters cover on it, that I have seen them play live.

Parker Griggs is not only one of my favorite Iowa artists, I also firmly believe that he is
one of the best guitarists the state has ever seen.  Radio Moscow's debut self-titled
album is out now on Alive Records, you can buy it at ZZZ Records, the best record store
in all of Des Moines.
