Spit in the Devil's Eye
Interview / Songs
Two months ago, Spit in the Devi’s Eye was scheduled to be on the show, but something came up last
minute and we had to cancel.  That something turned out to be my daughter Lemmy!  Of all the sessions this
could happen too, it’s funny that it was this one, since Spit in the Devil’s Eye is a father son duo that has been
playing around Des Moines for quite sometime.

Thomas Jr. and Thomas III have been playing together for 15 years now, but have yet to record an album.
They are having fun with the music their making and enjoying all the time they get to spend together.  We
covered the last decade and more during the short interview, and we also got a glimpse at the past with a very
old song; followed by one of their newest.

Both father and son have great but slightly different tastes in music, but often find something they can both
enjoy.  All of the albums they brought in were albums I could very happily buy.  In fact the only song I got to
choose and play was the latest solo 7” from Jack White.  Here is what we played…

Waterboys – Pagan Place
Talking Heads – Naked
Talking Heads – True Stores
Replacements – Tim
Aerosmith – S/T
U2 – Under Blood Red Sky
Spirit – Spirit of  ‘84
The Police – Outlandos d’Amour
Deep Purple – Who Do We Think We Are
Jack White – Fly Farm Blues
INXS - Kick
