ready for the same thing; as was my guest $trick9 And The Truth.
We were running a little bit late (as usual), due to the fact that we were recording behind Mars Café at the always fantastic Sonic Factory Studios; you can download those tracks for free, right here. Despite the tardiness we still managed to play a number of records, which was good as they had a lot to choose from, many of which had never been played on the show.
The first of which was an album that launched Weird Al into super-stardom, “Dr. Demento's Dementia Royale”, I never would have thought that Nick was such a big Weird Al fan. The rest of the night was not quite so Yiddish, as we played music from all over the place.
Here is some of the albums we played…
Pink Floyd - Meddle Elton John – Greatest Hits Vol. 2 The Cars – Heartbeat City Beastie Boys – The Mix-Up Temple of the Dog Johnny Cash – IV Leonard Cohen – Death of a Ladies Man National – Boxer Ghostface Killa – The Pretty Toney Album Bonnie Prince Billy – Cold and Wet Single
$trick9 And The Truth just released their debut album “Mother Earth” on their own label, White Poison Industries. The album features a guest appearance from none other than Ed Fallon on accordion and is an excellent debut with a very professional sound. We talk all about the unusual collaboration and more during the interview which you can also download right now, for free.
